The Working Community of the Val Venosta Alpine Dairy Farms was founded about 30 years ago as a link between the various actors involved and as a "caretaker" for the common interests. 

 

It is a rather informal association of the various project partners,  including representatives of the alpine dairyfarmers, the alpine pasture staff, the alpine dairy association of South Tyrol, the school for agriculture and forestry Fürstenburg, the local forestry authority and the district office for agriculture in Silandro, where the headquarters and contact point of this working group are located. Another project partner, especially in logistical support, is the Cooperative for Continuing Education and Regional Development its with headquarters in Spondinig. 

 

The focus of the working group's activities was in the start-up phase with the upcoming investments, on the start of the advisory activities and on the development of the quality assurance programme. In the course of time, many things have fallen into place, some areas have been taken over as fixed components in provincewide programmes, and the field of activity has shifted more to continuous monitoring and observation as well as to suggesting and helping to organise various events such as conferences or tastings or educational trips.  

Ultimately, however, this is also an example of successful teamwork for the benefit of Val Venosta's alpine pasture farming, where the various partners and actors can exchange views and contribute with their practical experiences and implementation possibilities, with the legal requirements and regulations and with from time to time the anising "friction areas".
